Werner Herzog - The Chicken Twins
Without a doubt my favourite documentary maker/director (Adam Curtis in close second). Herzog has a knack for finding these brilliant anecdotal stories of people and places on the fringes of normal life that somehow reaffirm everything they are so disconnected from.

Anonymous vs. KONY
Questionable taglines, piggybacking the recent uprisings in the Middle East, using kids - in kicks the paranoid investigative reflex. It didnt take long to dig up some dirt on Invisible Children. Now Anonymous have exposed them in the following youtube video via Bastard Squad blog.

Mike Manzoori
Mike Manzoori was one of my favourite skaters back in the day. His passion for the sport was infectious and that came across in all his sections.
I was watching the Dinosaur Jr video for "Over it" and it turns out Mike has continued his career in skateboarding by directing and photographing it. Both of which he does almost as well as he used to skate (or might well still do, i'd be interested in seeing some more recent footage of Mike skating)
"Aimless" is a video he put together for an Etnies 20th anniversary type affair. Brand stuff aside the video is beautifully shot and reminds me of the good natured, just for fun vibe of videos like Animal Chin.
Heres the man himself tearing it up in '99

Franklin Stevens
I had the honour of skating a bunch of spots Franklin visited while I lived in Ipswich. Sound dude. Unfortunately I lost contact with them all but I hope theyre all still skating and enjoying it! Yann, if you should somehow stumble on this give ya boy a shout!
